Situated in south-western Slovakia, on the borders with Austria and Hungary this is where the town of Bratislava is located.
It has a continent climate since the city lies in the North Temperate Zone; the average temperature of 21 °C (70 °F) in the warmest month and −1 °C (30 °F) in the coldest month.
It is known to be the political, cultural, and economic center of Slovakia. The town is filled with several museums, universities, theatres and galleries.
